Change your life in 17 seconds (Abraham Hicks)

Align your life as frequently as you can. If at least two or three times a day you stop to think and find 17 seconds of pure thought about anything, then you will have done enough for your day to be productive.

Why 17 seconds?

Abraham Hicks says a thought reaches enough fuel when you center for attention for 17 seconds (17 seconds of pure concentration).

That thought will bring with it another one that, by effects of the Law of Attraction, will be more powerful, and after another 17 seconds (34 seconds in total) the thoughts evolve into a level of energy even more powerful.

Later, if you add another 17 seconds (51 in total), the process continues. If you finally can continue until a total of 68 seconds (in any aspect of your life that you wish) then you will have done a great job and that wish is on its way to its realization.

The key is pure positive focus (pure positive energy) with no resistance at all and without allowing any thought of lack and negativity in that period of 68 seconds.

Abraham says that the average person rarely finishes an affirmation (or the formulation of a wish) without offering contradictory energy (opposite thought to what they're wishing or doubtful thought).

For example:"I want a new car... but they're so expensive, besides I don't think I have enough money..."

So most of us haven't experienced this process of pure 68 seconds of non-contradictory energy.

17+17+17+17 = 68

Abraham gives us this information about it:

  • 17 seconds equal to 2.000 hours-man (almost a year of 40 hours a week of work)
  • 34 seconds equal to 20.0000 hours-man (or almost 10 years of work)
  • 51 seconds equal to 200.000 hours-man (or 100 years of work)
  • 68 seconds equal to 2.000.000 hours-man (or almost 1.000 years of work)

If we learned to use this process of non-contradictory pure thought for only 68 seconds, then the work hours or the action would become irrelevant.

How to achieve 17 seconds of pure thought?

It's easier to do it in writing or spoken to achieve 17 seconds of concentration in a pure thought.

If you're going to do it in writing, do it in the way of a letter meant for a friend, pretending that everything you're wishing for has already happened.

Then describe your feeling in every detail and you immerse yourself in the description so much that it seems like you're really living it.

Another way of doing it is to gather a group of people and talk about something you wish in the future, talk about it as if the wish has already come true.

For example, if you want to have a beautiful wedding, talk about how much you liked the reception, the band, the cake, the decoration, etc. This spoken exercise between friends can last more than 68 seconds, it usually lasts between 5 to 20 minutes.

We recommend you start to do this exercise with things that are not so important to you, that way over time you'll get enough concentration ability (and your doubt level will lower).

68 seconds are equal to 2 million hours-man... Do you believe this? If not, then you're missing the opportunity to use all this wisdom to your benefit.

Vibrations (Abraham-Hicks Quotes)

Offer a vibration that matches your desire rather than offering a vibration that keeps matching what-is.

Inspiration (Abraham-Hicks Quotes)

There is not something you're supposed to do.

There's not something that you should do.

There is only that which you are inspired to do.

And how do you get inspired except by the contrast?

It's the life experience that gives you the idea of the desire, and then as you focus upon the desire, the Energy flows.

Source Energy (Abraham-Hicks Quotes)

See this world as a free world, and see everyone in it as trying—through their individual experiences—to find their way back to that calling, back to that Source Energy.

And even though there are billions of them going about it in a way that is different than you would choose, there's no right or wrong way.

In other words, bless them all, and get on with the only thing you have any power about, which is opening or closing your vortex to your natural state of Well-Being.

Birth of a Wish (Abraham-Hicks Quotes)

It's not necessary for you to exacerbate your contrast with struggle in order to get it into a higher place.

It is not necessary to suffer in order to give birth to desire.

But when you have suffered and you have given birth to desire, so what?

You've got a desire.

Turn your attention to the desire.

Think about where you're going and never mind where you've been.

Don't spend any more time justifying any of that stuff.

Alignment Processes (Abraham-Hicks Quotes)

"Is this pill really an effective pill? Is this process really an effective process?"

Anything that causes you to allow what you desire is the process of coming into alignment.

And so, we're not, in any way, validating or invalidating anything.

Many offer their "dog and pony show" as being the one that works. And good for all of them.

We applaud anything that assists someone in allowing the Well-being, that they so much want and deserve, to flow.

Individual Creation (Abraham-Hicks Quotes)

If man understood that "what I create has nothing to do with what anybody else is creating" then he wouldn't be so afraid of what others are doing.
